A Flanboyant Thanksgiving!

Flanboyant Eats Thanksgiving Menu Collection

The joy of gathering at the dinner table is just a week away. We’re all prepping like frantic cooks, designing menus, delegating dishes, organizing seating, dinner time, and hoping for a stress-free evening. In our house, Thanksgiving is kind of a big deal. Not as epic as nochebuena or Christmas, but it’s what kicks off the 7-week holiday season. We go through Dia de los Reyes Mago, or the Epiphany on Jan. 6th. So whatever happens on Thanksgiving pretty much sets the tone for the rest of the season. It has to be right.

In contemplating how I’ll contribute to my mother’s menu, I went to the archives here and pulled out some of the top recipes which have gotten some serious love from you all. Only two of these were Thanksgiving past features, but the other options are either classics seen at our table each year, like the yuca con mojo, or are completely suitable for a divine meal for 25.

I’m sure you’re in the midst of pinpointing what you’re making for your guests or what you’re taking if you’re invited, but in the event you’re still unsure and relish something totally different, something you’ve not had and would love to surprise your hostess with, here are my delicious suggestions.

From robust appetizers that can double for dessert to an aromatic stuffed cornish hen as a main course to a perfectly seasonal flan flavor. You can’t go wrong with any of these. I guarantee that!
