Is your kids’ summer camp canceled this year?! If s0, I’m soooo sorry to hear that and I get it. I can’t even imagine how you’re stressing out right now. I am a volunteer Chef at a summer camp in North Carolina and I, too, will not be attending, which makes me really sad. Times are weird, for sure. But, hey, we gotta find the silver lining in these situations.
Parents worldwide are faced with:
“What are we going to do this summer?!”

In answer to so many cries for help with keeping the kids busy and engaged this summer, I am excited to present to you, an intensive and really fun summer cooking school! This is more than a 2-weeks camp. This is virtual school where your kids can learn all summer long and still have all the fun they would in a short time frame.
Does your child love to cook? Do they want to start an IG page with all of their creations? Do they tell you they want to make you dinner? Wait… Do you want them to make you dinner! Yes you do!
Then you have come to the right place for all of your virtual needs! This is a fun, educational and empowering 12-weeks program hosted in a virtual classroom where your child will get true hands-on experience, in the comfort of your own home and kitchen.
In this 12-weeks program, we will go deep into the fun and art of cooking! My moto:
Educate.
Entertain.
Empower.
Some of skills and information we’ll go over include:
*How to get develop some great knife skills.
*How to buy certain ingredients.
*Kitchen and food safety.
*Seasonal ingredients: fresh vs. frozen.
*Know the difference between sautéing and sweating vegetables.
*Nutritional information and discuss alternatives to ingredients you may not have or not even like!
*The history of certain ingredients and dishes.
*Introduction to global fare.
*Best utensils, cookware, etc.
*How to cut up a whole chicken (this is advanced, but fun!)

The goal is for your child to feel empowered in the kitchen while developing and working on some essentials cooking skills and techniques. (And help ease some stress for you!)
Recipes will be provided once your child is registered. Classroom size will be limited to 20 screens in order to engage with and answer each of the kids’ questions during class.
I offer two live cooking sessions: Every Tuesday or Thursday at 1:30p (est). Each live cooking class lasts about 90 minutes. In some cases, class will run a bit over.

COOKING 101
You want them to do more than just cook?! Great!
For those parents who want to keep their kids engaged more than just once a week, and want them to learn in a more relaxed classroom, there is an opt-in to attend a 60-minutes (1 hour) work class on Monday, Wednesday and Friday. This is designed to provide essential and basic knowledge of food, how food works and cooking in practice. Students will have a workbook we’ll work through together each week.
This classroom will also be limited to 20 individual computer logins. You can only opt-in if you are enrolling your child for the full cooking program.

HOW IT WORKS!
I’m here to help alleviate some of your summer scheduling concerns and also help your awesome kids become kids chefs!
- Registration is per child, per computer login. When enrolling below, please use the drop down menu and select “Kid” to see all the of the options.
- Once you register your child, you will receive an email with your confirmation. You will then receive a separate email with very detailed information on what you will need to have a successful and enjoyable summer program, including materials (worksheets, etc).
- You will receive an email with your personalized login credentials. This is not to be shared or used by anyone else.
- If registering for the M, W, F classroom-only class, you will also receive a separate email with very detailed information on what you will need, including materials (worksheets, workbooks, etc).
- Classes are held live, on Zoom, in a secured classroom. It is password protected.
- Classes are limited to 20 log-ins in order for us to get intimate. A smaller “classroom” also allows me to engage with each of the kids, answering any questions they may have during the process!
- Cooking Classes are typically 90 minutes. Sometimes they will go over but no more than 2. M, W, F classes are 60 minutes.
- Classes are nonrefundable and nontransferable.
- Please email ahead of class with any questions.
- Menu is subject to change, without notice, depending on market availability, etc.
