Beauty Goods in Support of Breast Cancer Awareness Month

BSC BCA 2015 collageIt’s hardly believeable fall is in full effect, that we’re about to “fall forward, that Halloween is just two weeks away, and retailers are already advertising Christmas. Sheer craze. With all the fall madness, there’s also fall goodness. And even though we only have 9 more days in the month, it’s never too late to celebrate Breast Cancer Awareness (B.C.A.) month and honor the phenom women behind and in front of the battle ground. Some of my beauty brand friends are on top of the game-changing initiatives to bring education and money to the efforts’ core.

1 in every 8 women will be diagnosed with breast cancer in the US. This is real. Very real.

The Estée Lauder company,  a true pioneer in the cause, is wildly known for their annual product release this month. Their campaign this year is all about uniting and empower the global breast cancer community year-round through their coined campaign:  Every Action Counts. What’s Yours?  The company says:

We’re inviting people everywhere to share all the meaningful ways they’re taking action against breast cancer on BCAcampaign.com or on social platforms with #BCAstrength. Throughout the year, we will curate and showcase the diversity of actions submitted from around the world in a global mosaic of strength and support to remind us all that we’re truly Stronger Together.

They’re not the only ones sharing lovely products. A slew of other luxe (and every day counter) brands also inspired and encourage us to shop for a cause. Looking pretty always feels better when our emotional attachment to it is contributing to the greater good.

And because I have dear friends whom have won battles and are survivors of breast cancer, I share a few do-good finds you can still enjoy and feel great s you shop with a great cause.

1) Bobbi Brown Peony Set: You can expect this lovely, limited-edition, bright-pink blush with the embossed pink ribbon. It’s one of Bobbi’s staple annual products. Enjoy it even more with the mini-face-blender brush. Do note it’s very bumble gum pink! Bobbi Brown will donate $12 from each purchase to the B.C.R.F. $50

2) Estée Lauder Modern Muse Solid Perfume Keychain: Already loving this scent but now you can keep on all day with this super chic and well-weighted take Modern Muse keychain. Please don’t apply to lips as my my Mami did thinking it was lip balm!  Estée Lauder will donate 100 percent of the purchase price to the B.C.F.R. $50

3. Estée Lauder Resilience Lift Night Creme. Try this new formula if you are working on lifting some things here and there on your already beautiful face! The work happens while you’re sleeping. $86.

4.) Shiseido Lips. Among my go-to lip brands, Shiesido ranks top 3 with their luscious textures and amazing colours. Their relationship with Cosmetic Execute Women (CEW) sponsors Cancer and Career in where they will donate $5 for every sale of this year’s featured lip.  Rock on with their Veiled Rouge collection in three fall and holiday appropriate hues: Pomegranate, Skyglow, and Sloe. No. 308 is my fave but they’re all silky with some sheen and the casing it just too chic. $25

A few other prods to consider are Avon’s Outspoken Party Perfume by pop singer Fergie, will  $5 to the Avon Foundation for Women with each Outspoken purchase to help the cause; and Conffianz, a beauty brand dedicated specially for Latina women, will be donating a percentage of all website sales during the month of October for Breast Cancer Awareness to ALAS-WINGS.

Fight on. Love strong. Pray faithfully.

Eat well, love unapologetically, pray with true intention, and take care of yourself.
