My stunning 8 days in Puerto Plata, Dominican Republic were finished off with one single hour at the beach skirting the resort we stayed in. I totally missed the sun and failed to successfully tan myself up the way I intended.

But, I got to jump, laugh and splash around with my father, who was working with me. It was a perfect late afternoon to just chill out and reflect on everything we did and learned. Since it was the last beach visit I decided to rock my all-time favorite suit…I’ve had it close to 7 years and surprisingly still fit it; despite the ups and downs in weight. Sheesh. The starch white somehow works and allows a super clean look, requiring minimal accessorizing. It’s all in the metal hardware found in the buckle and squared loops on the top. I remember falling in love with it shortly after Halle Berry walked out of water in that sexy beach scene in one of the Bond movies. Her suit was similarly sexy and white.

I paired my look with my big summer Havana sunglasses and a bold mix of bracelets. I always wear flip-flops to the beach because it just makes sense!

Oh, how I need about 2 full days worth of sand in between my toes. DR was good to me.
