Sipping a Bit of Napa, Virtually

Wine festival season is in full effect and I’m trying to make the rounds if not physically, at least virtually! Just last week I was invited to the St. Croix Food & Wine Experience taking place next month in the sea foam blue St. Virgin Islands.  I’ve started doing my culinary cleansing in order to be ready to bask in the much-needed steamy weather and of course to make good room for all the food and wine I’ll be indulging in.

If you love wine or are like me and have a love-hate relationship with reds and whites but respect its art and even want to get to know how to parlay better, there are a host of wonderful wine tastings and events going on stateside.

Savor Sonoma Valley is now celebrating its 21st year beginning on March 19th and promises to be the best one yet.  An extravagant two day experience filled with bottomless tastings, gourmet food creations by top chefs in the region and seminars on how to properly pair food with wine will leave you wanting to move to the valley. Well, maybe not move, but at least walk away with an enriched sense of what the robust and aromatic region has to offer. We’re no France or Italy when it comes to wine production, but from what I’ve personally enjoyed, the hills of California yield superbly reputable wines for every level drinker.
