B! Inspired Father’s Day Gift Guide

What to get dad for Father’s Day is one of the hardest answers I can’t find in a timely fashion. Did that make sense? It’s the same dilemma every year. My father has everything he wants and needs — minus the Bentley and yatch — things he’s wanted his whole life… so short of gifting him those things I’ll never fathom, I try to come up with tangible ideas that have meaning but also items and experiences I know he’ll really enjoy. When the father in your life has everything he needs but there’s room for a few special tokens of love and appreciation, go for the unusual and unexpected.

I found a few nifty ideas I’d not thought of in years past and happily passing them on to you for inspiration.. because you if you’re like, me, waiting until the last minute to go shopping is par for the course.

CUSTOMIZED GIFT BOXES

For all matters of gifts, I’m digging Knack, this gift box company I came across — and wonderfully female-owned — that lets you handle your gift-gifting like a true concierge. You have it under control. Or at least Dad will think you do. The idea is simple. You can select an already pre-created gift set and then customize it to their liking based on his likes and your budget.  This makes each gift truly personal. Add more to the knack if you like or start from scratch and make one that really speaks to your dad’s likes and lifestyle. Make it as small and intimate or as large and fancy as you’d like. That’s up to you and your pocket.

I made a custom one for my dad and loved it when I opened it up. Too bad none of it suits me (though I’m gong to play around with making one for myself —wait for more on that!) It’s gorgeous and definitely well-packaged. Check it out the very one I did in the picture below with the following manly goodies:

Flask and Traveling Case by Viski – $29
Soapstone Whisky Cubes by Viski – $20
Quartz Medium Dopp Kit by Metamorphic Gear – $40
Joey Mug by Fellow – $28
Shoe Shine Kit by Wild & Wolf – $26

The best part about the way the gifting happens is that each knack box comes with a really cute personalized hand-typed card that explains what each gift is about and includes a note from you to Dad (or whomever the recipient is). How genius. How personal. How perfect. Check out the site for some other cool gift ideas and to choose from over 1,000 well-curated gifts for dad, from the golfer, to the coffee lover and beyond.

WALKING FOODIE TOUR IN G’TOWN (& BEYOND)

How about treating dad on a 1/2 day foodie walking tour that dive into the glorious ins and outs in your dad’s local neighborhoods where he can learn new anecdotes and secrets never known before.  I recently went on a 1/2 day walking tour in Georgetown, D.C. with a new tour company called Mangia. I’ve lived here my whole life and was excited to visit some new eateries and historical sites I’ve never heard of. Dad would love this home town “day trip!” Check out your local town for similar offerings.  Mangia 1/2 day tours are $25 with small tastings. Full day tours are $40 with small tastings and wine.

BACON, TOOLS, AND FASHION

I don’t eat pork or anything swine-related, but I loved the smell of this new GOURMONDO Bacon Balsamic I found within the Knack site. For $8 it’s perfect for the dad that loves anything with bacon on it. And, it’s owned and made my a femme!

BLACK & DECKER Cordless Drill with Battery for $79 is probably a guy’s best friends in the shed. This set fixes almost eery imaginable problem in the house. I even have one. And it sure helps a sister out when I have holes to drill. Packs well, too.

A man’s best accessory is a watch. I learned that from my dad and brothers. They never leave home without. It’s the quintessential arm piece to make him look studly. This TIMEX Metropolitan + Activity Tracker Watch is the go-to timekeeper for the active dad. Great deal for only $114.

Treat your dad to gifts he’ll appreciate and actually use. You know how they are… low key — most times– and definitely not big shoppers. We just did it for him!

Happy Father’s Day!

  1. Choosing a gift for your father is necessary first of all based on his interests, Hobbies. My dad likes to play Golf and I chose GPS Handheld for him. The Golf watch provides important information during the game by displaying it on a large touch screen, with excellent image quality in the sun.

  2. Unlike women, for representatives of the stronger sex, a wristwatch is one of the few accessories that indicate the status and success of a man. For guys, stylish men’s watches are a certain attribute of growing up. Therefore, before buying them, you should read the basic rules for choosing high-quality men’s watches. Personally, I really like this collection https://www.h2hubwatches.com/collections/maserati . A great addition to your image

  3. You should pay special attention to the choice of watches.Watches that invest a lot of money should have a number of indisputable advantages, they should justify themselves. If you want to invest in watches, you should immediately understand what you will be telling customers in 10-30 years. This means that you must have the best watches, they must have increased uniqueness, limited edition, rare material, interesting story
