7 Things You Can Make For Your Loved One Today!

Didn’t have time to think of you were going to seduce your lover today? Or treat your bestie to a homemade treat? Because surely buying basic cupcakes at the grocery store is just so….well, basic. And we don’t do basic. If you’re out of creative ideas and have time to pull out your mixer, or martini shaker, I’ve got 7 tried and true recipes for you to get to whipping!

I’ve made each of these on several occasions for different reasons and each of them have been a bit. My personal favorite is the espresso and toasted almond flan, naturally, but the warm fruit in vino y mile compote is to die for. I first had it in Val de Loire, France and 14 years later, I’m still talking about it. It was so good, I recreated it, put my own twist on it, and included the recipe in my cookbook, ‘Modern Pressure Cooking.’ The picture below is the original dish I had that lovely day in France. My version follows below.

No matter which one you opt for, I guarantee a smile, warm heart, and sweet ‘I love you’ from your loved one. Buen Provecho!
