I was supposed to be married at 24. That was my dream age. I had everything planned out. A huge Cinderella style gown, a tiara, 300 guests, sparkly shoes and hand-picked flowers.
So much of my dream has changed. Now, it’s more like a Grecian-style or Vera Wang gown (or a couture Carolina Herrera), a fabulous fascinator, my mom’s jewelry and some bad ass pumps [maybe 150 people]
In anticipation of being married in the last 5 years, I bought some amazing Narciso Rodriguez white satin pumps. I neatly kept them stored in their dust bag and box for 3 years until I realized that man had still not come. Since then, I’ve rocked the hotness out of them and are one of my faves.
And then Charlotte Olympia came along, made her debut and and took the shoe industry by lustful storm. Her Fall ’11 line is sick and one to seriously covet. There’s not one shoe I don’t like. But, of all the pumps, I particularly love this Paloma stain pump. Though the green one speaks unparalleled sexiness to me, these white ones are breathtakingly heavenly. Perfect for a bride.
Even if I were to get married within the year, these would be in top contention. Wouldn’t you say!

oh Bren, i'll tell ya what. i had a very similar dream and ended up married before i hit 20. it was very destructive, i hadn't formed my own resolve yet and didn't know much about much. you are going at a good pace lades, no rushing or feeling like you gotta do what you see others do.<br /><br />take it all in your own stride. um, and those stellar white shoes would make it that much

I've been dying for a pair of white pumps and am on a mission to wear them out during the fall. These shoes are sick!
Those. Are. Gorgeous. But I think I would break my leg if I tried to wear heels that high.<br />I never wanted to get married before I was 34. My husband and I dated for 7 years before we finally caved and married when I was 27. So much has changed since then. Life never seems to follow our best laid plans, does it?

I love wearing high heels more than a kid loves ice cream. And these, with their sweet ruffle reminiscent of a angel's wing (a sexy VS angel of course) make me swoon. Sad part? After baby number 2, I can't wear heels without my back feeling like hell. Seriously, I have to call my chiropractor a day before a big event so I can schedule an appointment soon after. Worth the doctor's

You are one of the few who make me guffaw out loud. Some thoughts: when I saw these shoes, I thought about our scrapped NASA shuttle program. The shuttles may have been retired, but live on with B! Rock them chica, every color, every day, with, w.o wings, plataformas. Oh yeah, you don't need "sick" tacos or a man to soar. You already do!
I don't think I've ever owned a pair of white heels and now you made me crave these….and the Vera Wang gown to go with it! Own them and post picks!
