Is it really January 13th, already? I’d like to find a way to freeze time for just two weeks so that I can replay a few key moment in 2015 I wasn’t able to soak in. 2016 has arrived in full throttle, promising a long list of glorious projects and explorations, but I’d like to a quick moment to relish in the amazingness 2015 was. It was such a busy year. I uncovered so much, met incredible people, ate super well, and most fun, got to play with hundreds (probably closer to 1000) of the beauty industries newest, best, most luscious and sexiest products.
The point of it all is to make our lives much prettier, much more relaxing and refreshing, ultimately useful for creating a more chic and sexy life. One single woman can’t possibly shut down and indulge in everything arriving in a lovely packaged box — or, maybe I can, if I knew I had no other worries in the world and all the disposable income licensed me that kind of freedom; but then again, that kind of disposable income would have me on a private jet, doing it up somewhere sexy, where the best products were limited to the top 5 best ever, eliminating the need for any other kind of testing. But there’s a lot of fun (and knowledge to be gained) in spending time with products that purport to make us flawless.
I tried a motherload of luscious products from $3 college-budget friendly creams to $500 serums that ought to come with a week-long calendar of dates for that price tag. But alas, I have to resort to archaic woman skills to make that happen. Oh, I digress! And in between the low, low and fufushishi, I found the good-good stuff that we all can enjoy.
These prods above and below made my Best of 2015 for different reasons. I’ve used them all very regularly, some I’ve lost from transferring from purse to purse — like the Circa Magic Hour Illuminating Glow — , and others I’ve run out of several times…. they were that good. Some of these aren’t so new, rendering them perfectly awesome for this year, too. They made the cut b/c they surpass and transcend trendy looks and feelings.
From my beauty stash to your inbox for consideration, behold, allow your sexy self to indulge.
Laura Mercier Pistache Collection. See my full review in this post. Let’s just say I’ll buy anything that has honey in it.
Bobbi Brown’s Greige Collection. Sultry, subtle, but luxe. Love the colors in the eye palatte but the creamy eye shadow sticks are great for layering and creating bold but sensual looks.
Lancome Night Mask. Paired with the Skinceuticals products, you will feel like you just splurged on a spa treatment.
Shiseido Future Solution LX is the 2nd most lucious cream I tried all year. It’s supple and wonderfully made with ingredients proven to rejuve our wrought skin. I love this stuff.
Josie Mara Argan Oil. A dab of this will revive your hair. It’s great for now during winter. It’ll be good all 2016— because Spring and summer are coming.
Tory Burch Eye Palettes. Too pretty. Check out my review in this post.
Urban Decay Revolution Lip Gloss. Sexy. Easy. Bold. I’d say reserve that purple one for halloweend, unless you really love wearing odd colors that say “read my lips!” Honestly, tho, I’ve been rocking that color lately and I get all kinds of compliments. The berry is my favorite though.
Estée Lauder Pure Color Envy Matte Sculpting Lipstick. This.right.here. I have 3 colors that are to die for. My girlfriends want to take them from me. Especially because I mix them up to creat colors that really suit me taste and wardrobe. Individually, they are bold and sexy. Super model Joan Smalls was quite smart when hand-picking these colors. Now if I could just get them all, I’d feel bolder.
The new Sol de Janeiro Brazilian Bum Bum cream launched in 2015 to much buzz. Men and women love the brown Latina’s round and firm bums. Now we know a little bit of how they maintain. And we can do it just like them. See my full review here.
Erno Laszlo Pre-Cleansing Oil. This didn’t debut in 2015 but I swore by it. Love this stuff. Love, love it. It’s so smooth and light on the face. Even after you’ve washed it off with the Erno marble bar soap (full review on that to come), your skin has the effects of a soft face massage gone way right. Do yourselves a favor and implement this in your routine.
2nd to Chanel Chance parfum, Aerin Rose de Grasse is the one for me. I want to bathe in this. I want my sheets to smell of this. I want to drink tea that smells like this super fine perfume. More notes on it here.

L’Oreal Paris Elnett Satin Hairspray. The only one you need, really. And it’s the one the Today show green room uses. No lie.
Farmhouse Fresh Marshmallow Collection. I waited till the end of the year to spend a lot of time with this trio. My hands have gone through the ringer with the amount of cooking I do. And since I’ve become a bit OCD about washing my hands every time I touch something unfamiliar, their balm has come in so handy. It smells like fluffy candy. It feels like fluffy cotton candy. I keep it in kitchen for quick access. They’re Rasmopolitan sugar and vodka scrub is my favorite from all of their products. It’s a great way to force ourselves to spend a few more minutes in the shower as we treat our whole body with some sugar love that’ll leave it feeling silky and a bit shiny. Perfect for fighting the wintry elements. More importantly, they’re 95% all natural and organic. A big score.
Clinique Moisturizing Lotion. I’ve been using this for 3 years now and still find it to be very useful. It’s great for a first layer of moisturizing before you get into your true religious regiment. I’ve gone through 3 of these already.
L’Occitane Almond Delicious Paste. Anything coming from this Provencial house is a winner. I’ve tried quite a few products from the bright yellow brand, but this almond paste is one scrub that’ll take your skin from winter’s blue and dryness to summer’s glistening glow we all envy to have. We all want lovely exfoliated skin. This will do that, leaving a delicious aroma. Worth the $42.
ESPA Soothing Body Oil. There are a few body oils I enjoy in the shower. ESPAs is good for after the shower or when you need a bit of solid hydration on your skin. It’s light but does the job. You can use it anywhere.
For clear skin and worthy confidence, try out Skinceuticals. You can read my full review in this post. It’s worth every dime.
For that J. Lo glow, check out L’Oreal Paris–my every day, default brand for the best of basic makeup that never fails — this light and golden Age Perfect Glow Renewal face oil is great for moisturizing. I reserve it for nighttime before bed and the weekend when I’m really pampering my skin.
Alright, lovelies! Hope you enjoyed getting to know these selections. Many more come in the way of suggestions what’s hot and not for 2016. The lineup is looking better than last year already! If you’re looking for thoughts or recommendations on any particular product, let know.
Happy New Year! Create and be the best you yet!
Eat well, love unapologetically, pray with true intention, and take care of yourself.

For some, beauty items are a priority, but I prefer just high-quality massage spas. If done correctly, a massage usually provides immediate satisfaction. It is safe and people often feel relaxed and calm from the time the massage procedure starts. Massage involves rubbing and stretching the muscles. This relieves muscle tension, increases blood flow, and promotes relaxation. Massage softens the stiffness of the muscles and connective tissue, which can be painful, restrict movement, or cause inflammation.
