{Giveaway} Super Chic & Ultra Luxe Entertaining Pieces from the Beatriz Ball Collection

My life became instantly sexier about 4 weeks ago. I got hip to this amazing, lovely, and utterly beautiful award-winning home entertaining and décor designer, Beatriz Ball from Louisiana. Brace yourselves girlfriends and fellas. I’m about to share some seriously fabulous and luxurious pieces with you because if you know me, I love beautiful things and enjoy sharing new & worthy findings. It’s all about living a chic, sexy life over here. And Beatriz nailed my aesthetic standard when I experienced a few of her creations.

She’s Cuban. From Havana. She speaks Spanish. And shares my mom’s name. That sealed the immediate design crush on a complete stranger. Coming across her was sheer coincidence or perfectly orchestrated. Either way, my entertaining accessories wardrobe is very, very contenta.

9 days before I was scheduled to appear on ABC Action News’ ‘Positively Tampa Bay’ midday show, I received a very personal email from the company letting me know they “love Flanboyant Eats” and my story of being a Cuban girl with this passion for food and chic entertaining. I could tell they really had spent time on here and did some genuine research. It wasn’t a cookie cutter email inviting to test a new product or to do a review… if you’re a blogger you already know those types. Instant delete — most times. Their intimate tone intrigued me and I took 30 seconds to quickly scan the embedded images.  I responded in kind and let them know I’d love to chat “after returning from travel to Tampa for some TV work.” A few more email exchanges turned into an an offer I couldn’t refuse: to stage my cooking/food segment with some of their pieces of my liking. I went to the site and some serious gasping, swooning, and lusting (soooo bad of me) ensued. I momentarily wished upon a star. After 30 minutes of browsing the various collections, scanning the design detail, and reading up on the founder, I left even more impressed beyond the initial email.

But, and lucky for me, the pictures on her site nor the images from the TV segment do them any real justice. They look good, but impressively better in person.

After enjoying the reaction from the viewing audience in Tampa and the stellar appearance of the pieces, mostly the cutting board, which is the best thing I’ve owned in the form of a platter, I spent some time personally chatting with Beatriz about her collection.

What you should know is that unlike hundreds other beautiful metalware house décor, each piece in her collection is handmade and personally designed by Beatriz herself. Her foundry in Mexico, run by her sister, offers jobs to a notable amount of artisans, many of whom are out of work due to the dying artisanal industry.

So sad.

The entire catalog, made up of about 10 collections, is influenced by natural elements like the ocean and the forrest life, but also by every day lifestyles like the Western, buckle and bootstrap style. And of course, she caters to the wedding industry with delicate and elegant gifts for any bride!

While each collection embodies a completely different design aesthetic, the consistent characteristic is elegance and understated opulence. Seriously, they’re all gorgeous and lustrous. Pure eye candy. The goal is to leave your guests feeling like you took time to create a memorable ambiance with unique pieces made with tremendous care.

As much as I love to entertain, I literally found something in each collection I’d love and make great use for. This coral handle bowl is organically perfect (and so of course now I need the tray and triple dip bowl)!

But the icing on the cake is that the craftsmanship and and metal used eliminates entirely the need to ever polish! That alone makes a $275 cutting board worth every penny. Sterling silver, when not stored in velvet cloths, turns faster than I buy shoes and polishing it is just too cumbersome. Of course, we all love an heir loomed sterling tea set or some lovely Tiffany’s pieces. But if I don’t have to polish before hosting a soirée, I’m for stocking up.

And the Ball Collection has it all. When I mean all, she has it all. Frames, pitchers, cutting boards, serving trays, vases, ladles, dip bowls, punch bowls, trinket boxes and the list goes on. I want it all!

So, while I loved showcasing the cutting board and the ice bucket from the Forrest collection on air, I’m having an incredibly fun time making my friends super jelly with the sexy-as-all-get-out SoHo pitcher and pedestal where that salted butterscotch bourbon cake drooled on.

I love making my friends jelly, but only when I know it’ll benefit them. And if they love entertaining at home the way I do, where chic and practically have to marry, then this is the collection for them.
