Community Focus on W-PGC 95.5: A Message to Today’s Young Woman

News personality, Guy Lambert  (huge shout out!) of W-PGC (95.5) and FOX 5 invited me on to his Community Focus radio show, which airs on Sunday mornings,  to chat about why I love using my platform to bring awareness to and fight for sets of issues that impact us all.

I love this guy, no pun intended. We’ve done a few segments together on FOX 5, D.C. one of which was the inspiration for our on-going conversation on women and the current climate of affairs, and resulted in a really lively 13-minute conversation.

Ladies, time’s up. 2018 really is OUR year to shine in a way so many have tried to dull. I’m here for the conversation, for the work that has to be done, for the support of others who don’t have the resources, for the ones who are afraid to speak out and up, for those who simply don’t know better. This is NOT a partisan issue. Women’s rights, immigrant rights, children’s rights, minatory rights…. they are all civil rights. I will always use my platform and my voice to fight for the less fortunate and for those who need an ally.
